LPB Energy Management

ENERGY STAR® was created to help consumers easily identify products, homes, and buildings that save energy and money, and help protect the environment. As the government-backed, trusted symbol for energy efficiency, the ENERGY STAR label identifies highly efficient products and designates superior energy performance in homes and buildings.

LPB believes businesses benefit financially by continually improving their management of energy resources, and the environment benefits from reduced levels of related pollution. We are proud to offer services and products that may assist businesses who have committed to the goals of ENERGY STAR.

Through the ENERGY STAR program, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provides the National Energy Performance Rating System that allows organizations to rate the performance of their buildings on a scale of 1-100 relative to similar buildings nationwide. The rating system accounts for the impacts of year-to-year weather variations, as well as building size, location, and several operating characteristics. The EPA is working with LPB to host the rating system and automate the transfer of data between the customer and the EPA's rating system. A rating of 75 or above indicates the site is in the top 25% of energy performance as compared to other buildings of similar type. The EPA recognizes top performing buildings by awarding them an ENERGY STAR label.

LPB's Utility Manager™ (UM) Server software application automates the transfer of the customer's utility data to the EPA's rating system. This allows building owners to obtain ratings easily with little or no data entry and on a more frequent basis.
